How do I order Phi Beta Kappa items?
This site is the exclusive source for official Phi Beta Kappa items, This includes the iconic Phi Beta Kappa keys, membership certificates, graduation regalia nd a range of Phi Beta Kappa merchandise and gifts.
What's the difference between a Chapter and Individual order?
The site is primarily intended for individual orders by members. Orders placed by individuals are paid by Credit Card and shipped directly to the member.
Chapter orders are placed by chapter officers, usually in bulk for keys and certificates for chapter ceremonies. Chapter orders are placed by using the button on the Home Page that says "Chapter Orders" Instruction for those orders are on the odering form on the Chapter site.
How does the personalization work?
All Phi Beta Kays and certificates are engraved (keys) or engrossed (certificates) with the member's name, chapter and, year of election (keys), date of initiation (certificates). This information is gathered during the ordering. Personalization information is entered near the end of the ordering process. There is a limit of 16 characters only for engraving a name on a key. Certificates and other personalized items do not have limits. Chapter names are engraved or engrossed in formats determined by the chapters. Personalized items are not returnable.

If it's our mistake, we'll fix it.
How long does it take?
Most individual orders are filled within a day or two.
How are items shipped?
Most individual items are shipped by USPS Ground Advantage. Some heavier things are sent via UPS.
What's the difference between 24K gold electroplate and 10K gold?
Most key orders are for the 24K gold-electroplate. Available in all sizes and configurations, it is popular because it is less expensive and looks identical to 10K gold.
